Stoke City manager, Tony Pulis said if he does not regret to bring in Michael Owen at the start of this season, after the retirement decision expressed by Owen at the end of this season.
Owen said he wanted to retire because he rarely played at the Britannia Stadium.
But Pulis denied the news, "Not at all. Owen was fantastic everywhere. Recruits he was great. If you look at the financial side, this is a remarkable deal for the club, with all respect," Pulis tepis.
"Owen is really got bad luck in his first season, with injuries he suffered. If he would try harder, maybe this time we will talk about different things. But that happened to him in last few years."
