Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers said news of FC Barcelona Victor Valdes left, the cause of speculation Pepe Reina return to the Nou Camp.
Previously rumored that the Blaugrana are ready to repatriate Reina, who is a product of La Masia academy. The news comes following the inconsistent performance at Anfield this season.
But according to Rodgers, Reina is still a vital part of Liverpool next season. In addition, Rodgers also denies bad relationship between himself and the goalkeeper 30 years.
"I think many news this year is based on the speculation that Valdes would go. I rely on him to next season. He never felt disturbed and our relationship is very strong," said Rodgers.
"I talked to Reina. He is a good person and I really respect him."
This weekend the two figures is going back to defend the Reds, against West Ham United in the Premier League match at Anfield.
It's only a gossip that intends to ruin both parties relationship and they respect each other that no one can destroy.
