Manchester City behind seven points from their rivals Manchester United. But Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini was trying not to panic to face competition in the rest of the Premier League.

Distance farther City and United after City defeat at the Stadium of Light last night. And at the same time the Red Devils instead won 4-3 over Newcastle United at Old Trafford.

Manchester City to pursue an opportunity has not closed because the rest of the time half of the competition that will begin in January 2013 is still pretty. But keep in mind that the pursuit of the seven points of the top class teams like Manchester United is not an easy matter.

However, the achievement of last season might be a lesson for Mancini. This season too, but still lags behind rivals, he seemed not to panic. According to the end of the season is still very long.

"This is not going to change our season, this is a long season," said Mancini.

"United conceded a lot of goals but they scored two or three goals in each game, and now they have a better chance to win the league. Yet again this is a long season and we are still likely to add points."
